No Pics
Can't upload pics here unfortunately. Melbourne's pretty cool (as long as you don't have a car!) Just here for a day, then Adam and I are taking the ferry to Tasmania tonight. Who wants an Outback Hat?

Still Alive and Living In
Checked out the Great Ocean Road, The Grampian Ranges, Melbourne and Ballarat. Heading to Tasmania tomorrow. More details (and pictures) when I get somewhere with faster internet than McDonald's.

Canberra
So after a few days on the coast, Adam and I decided to head inland for a spell and spend a couple of days in the Australian Capital City: Canberra. It's a really nice city, reminiscent of Ottawa, and their National Museum of Australia is pretty cool. I promise I'll get some pictures up one of these days, but I keep forgetting to pull them off my camera whenever I have the chance.
Some fun facts about driving in Australia:
-I'm pretty sure pedestrians don't have right-of-way
-Every morning I start off driving on the right side of the road, which is actually the wrong side of the road down under
-The Littlest Hobo is the leading contender for the name of the Pajero
Take care folks.

Southward Ho!
So Adam and I got a car the other day (see pics at http://theofficeblog-awayfromtheoffice.blogspot.com/2009/11/dingo-has-landed.html). We are finally out of Sydney (thank god, the city's nice, but oh-so busy) and working our way down to Melbourne via the coast. We tested out our new Pajero in the Royal National Park where we took a swim in the ocean at Garie Beach. I tell you, you've never seen waves so big: When they crash down on top of you, all you can do is hold on and enjoy the ride as you get tossed around and summersaulted. We've spent the last couple of days in Wallongon (don't ask me how you say that) getting our car fixed up and ready for the road. Hopefully by this afternoon we'll be heading out again to continue our adventures.
And by the way, we're going to have a vote on what to name our car. Please submit any suggestions and your vote here or on Facebook. Current suggestions: The Littlest Hobo, Matilda, Jerry.

Quickie
Well, my bagpack finally arrived. While I was in Sydney without shorts or toothpaste, my bag was living it up in Hawaii (!) Not much more to say on this front, Sydney's a pretty cool city, but I'm itching to get a car and head out. Adam and I are going to scour the markets one last time today and then decide on what car we want. Scott, you have permission to spoil the Buffy comic for me, as long as no one dies in it. And to all my facebook friends out there, sorry you haven't heard anything from me or Adam, but Facebook won't work on the computers at my hostel. So, nothing personal. And with that, I'm off to enjoy another day in sunny Sydney.
Pictures to come.

Sydneyside
So I arrived in Sydney safe and sound yesterday morning, but my luggage did not. It should be here today, or I'm going to have to go buy a new pair of clothes.
Saw the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House, and me and Adam started car hunting. No luck yet, but we found a notice board with a bunch of good deals, so we should have something in the next couple of days. Other than that, Sydney's a pretty cool city, very vibrant. Plus, no snow.
