From Mountains to Lagoons

Hello all, since my last post I visited sunny Innsbruck. Turns out, it was raining, cold and miserable, so I didn't hang around too long. Instead I caught a train to Lucerne, a pretty little mountain town right on a lake.

After one night there, I headed further into the Alps, to the small Hamlet of Gimmelwald. There's really nothing in the town itself except for a myriad of hiking trails, and quite a few mountain cows. I spent a couple of days there, hiking around the area and having a blast in the hostel. I met a couple of girls from Seattle, a guy from Kansas City and a bunch of folks from Australia. Good times were had by all.

Yesterday, I caught a train into Venice, where you can find me now. It's a pretty city, and it's neat how they do everything with boats, but I wouldn't want to spend more than a couple of days here: there's really not a whole lot to do, and my hostel isn't too great.

Anyway, tomorrow I start my long journey to Greece, so I'm not sure when you'll hear from me next. I hope you're all doing all right and not having too much fun without me.

Those mountain shots are beautiful. I don't care how unmanly that sounds.

This whole thing has inspired me; when I finish up law school, in that last little summer in between Third Year and the Article, I'll be taking a trip of my own. You'll have to show me where you got that book of yours.

Jeremy, you mean my Lonely Planet guide book? Because if you want, you can have mine when I get back.

As for the rest of you, I'm sure there aren't going to be too many parties in my absence, but come November, I think I'll be back in town to liven things up a bit.

Will that book be slightly out of date in like 8 years?

Just wonderin'.

Hey Christian!
Yay, we are those girls from Seattle! I've looked at your more recent posts and it looks like you're having just a fantastic trip! Enjoy your last weeks/month/whatever you have left! Who needs real adult life?
