Rottnest Island

So, the other day, Adam, Sarah (a traveling locum from Toronto, she was also staying at Jane and Gerry's place) and I went to Rottnest Island near Perth.

As you can see, Adam and I have really bulked out since coming down under:

Sarah's camera can take pictures underwater, so here are a few of those:

Adam and I swimming through this underwater canyon.

Adam's fish (I can't take any credit for this shot).

Congratulations, you've now seen a Quokka, Rottnest Island's contribution to strange Australian wildlife.

And after a hard day's snorkeling there's nothing left to do but take a nap on the beach.

That's all for now, take care folks!

You guys are looking kind of pale. You need to get more sun! Good thing you're headed to more beaches.

The Quokka looks kind of like a rat.

I've started a new comic series called Preacher. It's pretty cool

Just for fun, here's a list of things that will happen before you get back from Australia:

-The New Barenaked Ladies album will come out
-I will attend a BNL concert in Edmonton WITHOUT my concert buddy
-Green Day: Rock Band will be released to a largely uncaring public, myself included
-I will turn 25
-I probably won't get a boat. :(
-Dollhouse's Series Finale will air
-Boats will continue to be sweet
-As will cheese

The Quokka IS a rat. Well, an Australian rat. Sounds like I'll be missing a ton of stuff, gives me something to do when I get home to my not-a-job.

Got my tickets! Me, Derrick, and Kaleb are going to meet Anna for the show. Wish you were coming!

Oh Australia and it's evolutionary craziness... with the way it's been in tectonic and evolutionary history, I'm surprised that dinosaurs are not found there (take a photo for me if you see one, eh?)

Glad to see that you're still updating fairly regularly in terms of comments!

I'm heavily procrastinating and decided to check in to see how you've been!

I was joking about the work thing.... enjoy it while you can, you lucky ducks you!

And to be honest, if you two did stay in Australia, it wouldn't be too bad.... I mean, I'd have a place to crash when I do get there... and apparently professionally trained, North American librarians are really, really lucractive down there!

Hope all's well... say "hi" to Adam for me!

PS. Do people comment on your accent?

OMG CHRIS!
Brandon and I just finished season 5 of Buffy, he teared up and was like "NO" when Buffy died...again. But he was happy when Xander proposed to Anya :D

So Scott, what's Preacher about? Sounds interesting.

Jeremy, jealous.

Jason, Darrin tells me that there ARE Dinosaurs in Austrlia, they've just been dead for thousands of years. And yeah, I do get some comments on the accent. So far, it's been either American or Irish (not sure about that second one). You probably should move to Australia if you can, no snow is... well, just imagine if Canada had no snow.

Talk to you all later.
