Last Night in Paris

Hello again, so this post is about my last 2 nights in Paris, actually, but I prefer this more dramatic heading. I went to le musee Pompidou, le musee d'Orsay (home to this guy),

and I also went to check out l'Hotel des Invalides.

The highlight for me, however, was sitting below the Eiffel Tower,

with a banana-chocolate crepe (hmmm mmm)

at sunset.

I have to say, the Eiffel Tower was a lot more awesome than I was lead to believe. It is HUGE! And it's also quite a beautiful structure (that's the engineer in me talking). I wasn't a big fan of the epileptic lightshow after sunset, but the tower itself is definitely a must-see. I didn't go up in the thing, but I doubt I missed too much (except for a 2 hour line).

Aye yay yay!

It does SEEM like it would be overated to go up... but the view is actually quite incredible, esp @ sunset. And it's kind of cool/funny to see a million flashes from cameras taking pictures of you in the tower from below. If you're ever back in Paris... (admitedly, the admission is a little pricey)

... but Parisian crepes = awesome! My commendations on the bananna delish!
